The GTS-2015 conference was opened by Dmitry Lyugai, General Director of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC, and Sergey Alimov, First Deputy Head of a Department of PAO Gazprom, who welcomed the participants and gave a report on the areas of scientific, technical and innovative development of the gas transmission system (GTS) of PAO Gazprom.
The conference featured plenary sessions and thematic sections covering such industry issues as gas transportation technologies, the design, construction and operation of compressor stations, and the technical condition management of gas transmission systems. Two sections were devoted to the quality of pipe products and welding used in the construction and operation of trunk pipelines.
ULTRAKRAFT JSC, together with ZAO YugStroyMontazh, presented a report on "Mobile High-Performance Pipe Welding Bases for the Construction and Major Repair of Trunk Pipelines", during which the high-performance KSS-01 flash butt welding systems were presented.
