Visit of OAO VTZ and TMK Representatives to Test ULTRATUBE

Testing of the ULTRATUBE ultrasonic tube quality testing system together with VTZ and TMK

ULTRAKRAFT JSC, together with OAO Volzhsky Pipe Plant (VTZ), OAO TMK and an independent party, FBU Cherepovets Centre for Standardization and Metrology (CSM), has successfully tested the computing and flaw detection electronics of the automated ultrasonic non-destructive testing system ULTRATUBE.

The tests were carried out under the conditions of GOST 23667-85 "Non-destructive testing. Ultrasonic flaw detectors. Methods for measuring the main parameters" and the requirements of ExxonMobil.

The automated non-destructive ultrasonic tube quality testing system ULTRATUBE was manufactured for OAO VTZ to meet the requirements of the ExxonMobil specification for seamless tubing and casing.
